Welcome to The Writerspace!

For Writers...

We can all benefit from guidance and support; whether you are a professional writer looking to edit a new edition of your work, an aspiring author finishing the first draft of your novel, or someone who would like their writing nurturing and developing for its own sake. The Writerspace is here to provide bespoke coaching and editing support, as well as research and writing for both fiction and non-fiction projects. There is also the opportunity to book Xanthe for courses and workshops.

For Students...

School life, exams and decisions about the future can be daunting for most teenagers. Xanthe provides academic tuition across a range of subjects (sorry, no languages!) through a mentoring framework to support each student's individual journey. For larger groups, The Writerspace promotes confidence and success skills, with talks and workshops being available for Key Stage 3 to A Level students.

A short bio

Xanthe Wells started The Writerspace in 2007 having completed her PhD in Creative & Critical Writing from Loughborugh University. Since then, she has provided editing, coaching and writing services for a range of clients, notably within the coaching sector. Alongside this, she has taught creative writing to a range of groups, including The Writers' Summer School, of which she was Chairman (2010, 2011). In schools Xanthe has given talks on success, confidence and motivation and puts these skills into practice with individual academic tuition and mentoring for students from Key Stage 3 to undergraduate level.

Away from The Writerspace, Xanthe continues to pursue her own writing.  She has been published in both fiction and non-fiction anthologies, magazines and journals.
