About The Writerspace

Xanthe Wells started The Writerspace in 2007 after completing her Ph.D. in Creative-Critical Writing at Loughborough University.  Since then she has provided  coaching and editing support for professional and aspiring writers alike, in both fiction and non-fiction.  This has included a number of seminal texts for the coaching industry, such as the 2nd and 3rd editions of bestselling The Coaching Manual  by Julie Starr and Coaching and Mentoring by Eric Parsloe and Monika Wray.

However, there's more to The Writerspace than coaching:  Xanthe has spent three years working with T. C. Lea on a series of Life Philosophy, providing research and interpretations for his last three titles.  She has also worked as a ghost-writer and, most recently, acted as the Creative Director for Make It Happen: a success guide for teenagers.

Away from the office, The Writerspace continues to grow as Xanthe provides courses and talks to adults and teenagers on aspects of creative writing, success and confidence.  These may be to large audiences, such as Uppingham School Sixth Form or The Writers' Summer School, or to smaller groups, including Ripon Writer's Group and 'Speakeasy' in Milton Keynes.  On an individual level, Xanthe enjoys coaching and tutoring teenagers for GCSE and A Level across a variety of subjects, increasing confidence, motivation and learning with contiunued success.

Xanthe is privileged to hold the role of Chairman for The Writers' Summer School from 2009-2011.
